I am not sure if "jet lag" is the precisely correct term, but I will use it for the remainder of this blog as a synonym for "really stinking tired." Everybody is jet-lagged. It is coming up on 8:30pm here, and the entire team is already in bed. The physical toll of our travels and the emotional toll of coming face-to-face for the first time with 40 orphaned children is evident. It is clear that this trip will not be easy. But it will be good. It already is good.
More later... Just wanted to let you know that we are here safely.
Peace,
Matt

Matt,
So glad to hear that you and the Zambia Team arrived safely. Such a long journey! Take good care and know that many are praying for you all and all you are doing. Could you please let Victoria know that Allison also made it safely from Siberia to Amsterdam. A day to rejoice.
Mary Ellen, grateful visitor to your beautiful Covenant Presbyterian Church in Racine.
We are all sooo glad that everyone arrived safely. My spirit and prayers will be with all of you as you do God's work. Please know that we are with you and suporting you throughout your journey!

Dear all,
So glad to hear you arrived safely. I am insanely jealous of your mission opportunity and will be praying for all of you whilst you're in Africa. Please pass hellos on to my mother (Carolyn).
Thanks! Jennifer (Scherer) Tasker
Dear Mom,
Glad you arrived safely. Camp is GREAT! I'm the only boy and all the girls love me. However, I weighed in at 24.6 lbs. so my camp counselor has me on a pretty rigoeous program. I swim and take several walks a day and the girls have me running laps in the house non-stop. Actually, the girls run laps and I take the short cut over the couch every time (snort, snort). I've got to go, a game of chew up the tennis ball just started. The camp director says to give hugs to Isabel and Ruth in the nursery.
Love,
Tug
Hello Zambia Team!
This is Kat Clark's aunt, Mary. My family loves traveling around the world, but we've not been to Africa, so I will love to hear your stories! We were just in Heathrow a couple of weeks ago...I trust you will soon recover from jet lag and be functioning fairly well! You are on quite an adventure, so take it all in, and be sure to journal!
Love and prayers,
Kat's Aunt Mary
By now a couple days have gone by since you wrote this...and I hope you've gained more strength and have acclimated some more. You are in my prayers and I know God is using you in ways you never imagined. Keep looking up and trusting, my friends. You are bringing joy to these people (especially the kids) and 'following'. Keep it up!
Blessed by you,
Sarah
PS - Jeney and Matt...I REALLY MISS YOU GUYS!!! I'm praying for you!
